To ensure high service availability, our data centres are equipped with multiple redundant servers and networks which run application and communication resource connections. In the rare event of a hardware component failure on the primary server in the primary data centre, a switch is made to a designated secondary server in the same data centre. Asynchronous database replication between data centres is utilised for the switchovers. In the extremely rare event of a catastrophic failure at the primary data centre, there is a switch over to a designated server in the secondary data centre.
